Concept and design for a maternity guide.

For as much as our society talks about families and babies, the experience of pregnancy itself is somewhat of a mystery to the average woman. That’s where this guide comes in. It seeks to fill that need for more information about how this experience is going to affect you. 

Research showed that pregnant women, especially first-time moms are drawn to imagery and language that is about them, rather than baby-focused content. Because of this, our maternity guide speaks to the readers as women first, and moms-to-be second. It was also designed with NCH’s overall tone in mind and allowed us to be smart and irreverent while taking on subjects that a typical hospital guide might gloss over.
